You have to keep in mind that you cannot fight the ghouls you encounter and if you are unable to avoid them, you will need to find shelter in the darkness. The horrors will make you question Daniel’s sanity and you need to avoid confrontations as much as possible, which is a challenge itself. However, you will need to avoid the monsters and ghouls that haunt the castle and get out in one piece. Your goal is to explore the environment and solve any and all puzzles that come along the way. The game may seem simple at first, but it is more complicated once you get a hang of it. Calling it one of the scariest games is perhaps an understatement to say the least. Daniel awakens in a Prussian castle and needs to find out why and how he got there. Amnesia the Dark Descent is among one of the very few games that is set in the 19th century and it gives you the ability to play as an individual who suffers from amnesia, the protagonist.
